Sitemaps up to 2 MB are analysed. A few sample URLs are tested so the check stays fast.

- Enter your domain (we will look for the sitemap) or paste the full sitemap URL.
- Press Check sitemap.
- Read the URL count, last-modified dates and sample page checks.
- Fix any problems, then submit the sitemap in Google Search Console.

A single sitemap can hold up to 50,000 URLs or 50 MB uncompressed. Larger sites use a sitemap index that links to several sitemaps.
Where should my sitemap be?
Usually at example.com/sitemap.xml, and it should also be listed in your robots.txt file.
Does the tool test every URL?
No. It tests a few sample URLs so the check stays fast. Use Google Search Console for full coverage reports.
